About the author
Welcome to Kath Denton’s world, where sarcasm meets sincerity, bad coffee meets good intentions, and queer characters actually sound like the people you know (or might have kissed once).
Kath is a Cardiff-based author of one (yes, one) contemporary queer comedy romance novel. She’s always written in some shape or form and has finally pulled her big girl pants on, and here we are after much nagging from her people (particularly Sian), with an actually published book.
Her debut novel, Mind the Queer Gap, is a celebration of friendship, found family, and falling for the wrong person at exactly the right time. When she’s not writing, Kath can be found chasing caffeine, people-watching on public transport, or defending her crisps of choice (“ready salted, always”).
She’s a sucker for a sapphic romance, an eclectic selection of sitcoms, bad British crime drama and Great British Bakeoff, which is ironic as, according to her partner, she cooks like she dresses, it’s just all thrown together with no thought for colour or taste.

Messy. Chaotic. Queer. London Life, Unfiltered.
If London had a personality, it would be Vic Spencer: chaotic, caffeinated, and somehow still standing.
After a questionable breakup, a disastrous interview, and an even more distracting doctor named Bee, Vic finds herself balancing friendship drama, HR nightmares, and a love life that’s... well, let’s call it “eventful.”
Funny, messy, and unexpectedly moving, Mind the Queer Gap is a celebration of queer love, friendship, and the moments that make us who we are, even when we’d rather they didn’t.
